Vicky Foxcroft Labour MP for Lewisham North
My Time as Shadow Minister for Disabled People
As many of you will know, I was appointed Shadow Minister for Disabled People in April 2020. Although you can view my parliamentary questions and other news stories in the In Parliament section, this is a space dedicated to my policy development work from my time as Shadow Minister for Disabled People.
As a party we are determined to be led by disabled people – the experts by experience.
I held a series of roadshows to help develop a comprehensive response to the Government’s National Strategy for Disabled People and a disability benefits green paper. These virtual roadshows kickstarted a four-year engagement programme, ensuring disabled people are at the heart of the Labour Party’s policy development. I have published our notes from the sessions on this page.
My new role, in the Government Whips Office, is to help deliver the change this Labour government and people across our country are so desperate to see.
If you would like to share your work or evidence with me, please upload it using the form on this page.
Thank you.
