Last week the Government’s ground-breaking Water Act became law.

The Act:

🛑Bans bonuses for polluting water bosses
⚖️Brings criminal charges against lawbreakers
✅Forces water companies to cover the cost of enforcement action

The Independent Water Commission has launched a Call for Evidence asking people to provide feedback on what needs to change to clean up our waterways and rebuild our broken water infrastructure.

Responses must be received by midnight on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
