Today I asked the Minister for Transport to commit the Government to safeguarding the Bakerloo Line extension route. 

Last week, Transport for London launched its new consultation on the Bakerloo Line Extension, yet there is a growing risk that this vital piece of infrastructure could be prevented by premature development coming forward on key sites along the route.

The Bakerloo Line extension will boost the local economy, create new jobs and improve transport links in South East London.
