On Tuesday 17th October, I spoke at the Westminster Hall debate on British Sign Language.
While this was a major milestone for the disabled and D/deaf community, there is still room for improvement.
A Labour government will be committed to co-production. This means more than just consulting the community you are working with. Proper co-production involves everyone working together on an equal basis right from the start, to come to a decision or create a service that works for them all.
