After school, between 3pm and 6pm, is one of the most dangerous times for incidents of violence between young people.

My constituent, Ben Lindsay, recently set up the charity “Power the Fight“, which is doing brilliant work in ensuring churches can be part of the solution in tackling youth violence and keeping young people safe. Churches have the buildings and the volunteers. Power the Fight provides churches with training and resources to ensure they can effectively disrupt violence and provide support to at risk young people.

I asked the Church Commissioner, Caroline Spelman MP, for a meeting to discuss this valuable work.
