After two months of calling for a debate on the Serious Violence Strategy, the Government finally granted Parliament the chance to debate this important issue.
I first called for this debate in March. Since then, twenty people have lost their lives to violent deaths in London alone.
I spoke about my main concerns with the strategy, which tinkers at the edges of a problem which requires a long-term solution and long-term investment.
