It was a pleasure to be invited to the Lewisham Red Cross on Friday 10th May to chat with the staff.

The Red Cross has played such a vital role in international crises throughout its existence and I’m proud to have a branch in Lewisham supporting the British Red Cross and our local economy.

I’d also like to thank the staff members who bravely shared stories about their personal struggles with me, such as one staff member who detailed their struggles with anxiety and depression, but explained that, after volunteering with the Lewisham Red Cross, they were able to overcome these difficulties, and flourish.
