As you will probably know by now, yesterday the Prime Minister announced his roadmap out of lockdown. The full guidance is available here, but these are the key dates.
March 8th
- Schools and colleges will reopen (including wraparound care and school sports)
- Exercise and recreation with one other person outdoors will be permitted
- Funerals can take place with up to 30 guests
- Weddings and wakes can take place with up to 6 guests
No earlier than April 12th
- Non-essential retail and personal care businesses will reopen
- Libraries, community centres and most outdoor attractions will reopen
- Indoor leisure will reopen (subject to certain restrictions)
- Groups of 6 (or more if only 2 households) can meet outdoors
- Domestic overnight stays in self-contained accommodation will be permitted (one household only)
- Weddings and wakes can take place with up to 15 guests
No earlier than May 17th
- Indoor hospitality, entertainment and attractions can reopen
- Indoor sport can restart
- Remaining outdoor entertainment (including performances) can reopen
- Maximum of 30 people can meet outdoors
- Up to 6 people (or larger groups if only 2 households) can meet indoors
- Outdoor events can take place (at limited capacity)
- International travel will restart (subject to review)
No earlier than June 21st
- Remaining businesses (including nightclubs) will reopen
- No restrictions on social contact
- No restrictions on events
