On Wednesday Vicky took part in the Stand Up to Climate Change Lobby on the Albert Embankment.

Over 9,000 people came to Westminster to Lobby Members of Parliament from many different pressure groups and charities.

Vicky met with over 30 constituents from Lewisham Deptford as they talked to her about issues from Trident to fossil fuels.

During the lobby two schoolgirls, Ruby and Ava, who attend Tidemill School in Lewisham Deptford also came to talk to Vicky about their concerns for their future.

Vicky said after the event “It was great to have so many people here in Westminster from Lewisham Deptford for the hugely important lobby.”

“We are reaching a genuine crossroads when it comes to our environment, we need more energy efficient homes, genuine incentives for renewable energy and a target for the de-carbonisation of electricity. I will be fighting for all of this from the opposition benches.”

“I will be working my hardest to make sure the issues that I have been out here talking to my constituents about are properly debated and discussed in parliament.”
