As some constituents may be aware, a walk through COVID-19 test site has now opened in Vanguard Street car park, near the bottom of Deptford High Street (SE8 4DQ).

The site is part of a pilot to open new test sites which are easily accessible by foot or on a bike. I’m sure many in the constituency will welcome this, as our nearest site was previously in Greenwich.

The Department of Health and Social Care’s advice is clear. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 (a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or loss of/change to sense of smell and test) should book a test immediately at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.

However, we know that people are finding it incredibly difficult to book tests at the moment. I would be interested to hear from constituents who have used (or attempted to use) the Vanguard Street site in recent days, with a view to raising any issues in Parliament.

If you would like to share your experiences, please email vicky.foxcroft.mp@parliament.uk and remember to include your name and address. Personal details are always kept private unless you agree otherwise, but we need to check you are a constituent. Many thanks.
