Vicky Foxcroft MP for Lewisham Deptford & Shadow Minister for Disabled People
On Monday morning I joined students from Addey and Stanhope and Rathfern Schools, Hussaini Abdu, the Director of Plan International Nigeria and representatives from the Department for International Development at a lesson organised by Plan UK International on girls’ education in conflict and disaster zones.
I was invited to share my perspective as an MP on how vital it is to champion girls’ education worldwide and how young people can best influence their representatives to keep issues like this on the agenda.
I had a great time answering questions, getting involved in discussions and helping my team with their excellent campaign idea for providing sanitary products to girls across the world.
Thank you so much to Plan for inviting me to take part and to all the students for a fantastic morning.
