I asked the President of COP26 on climate action being taken at home.

The UK’s credibility as COP26 President rests on climate action at home – this government must do more.

Full question:

Thank you Mr Speaker.

I am often contacted by young constituents who care passionately about climate change and want to see Ministers taking bold action to tackle it.

The UK’s credibility as COP President rests on climate action at home. The government has set legally-binding net-zero targets, but is currently off-track to meet its Fourth and Fifth Carbon Budgets, which are calibrated for previous, more-lenient targets.

When does she expect the UK to have its house in order, so I can let my constituents know their words are not falling on deaf ears?
