Today the Prime Minister came to the Commons to outline the new three tier system of COVID-19 restrictions.

I was successful in the ballot to ask him a follow up question and decided to ask whether there would be a sign language interpreter present at the press conference this evening. This is something people have been calling for since the early days of the crisis, yet the Government has yet to facilitate it (despite their Welsh and Scottish counterparts managing to do so).

You can watch our exchange in full below, but this is the text of my question:

“Prime Minister, disabled people have felt like an afterthought throughout this pandemic.

“I’d like to ask one simple question, which requires only a yes or no answer. Will there be a sign language interpreter at your press conference this evening?”
