I know that many carers are worried about how they will manage over the holiday period.

Carers UK will be offering the following support:

• Carers UK’s helpline will be open as normal from Monday to Friday, 9.00am-6.00pm, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, to offer advice and information to carers.
• Carers UK’s online forum will also be open throughout the holidays, to enable carers to connect with a supportive community.
• Carers UK is also running online ‘Me Time’ wellbeing sessions for carers throughout the holiday period. Find out about the dates and how to sign up here.
• The coronavirus guidance page on the Carers UK website provides up-to-date advice and information for carers.

It is important to note that, although Lewisham is now under Tier 4 restrictions, you can still leave the house to care for someone who is vulnerable.
