Vicky Foxcroft MP for Lewisham Deptford & Shadow Minister for Disabled People
Last Friday I headed down to John Stainer Primary School for a visit. Luckily this coincided with the school’s World Oceans Day dress-up day and, although I didn’t go all-out this time, I did join in with the blue and green theme.
I had a great time having a morning tea break with school council, who had some excellent questions for me about Parliament, the environment and of course Brexit
I was then given a tour of the amazing new school building, including a very impressive roof garden and storytelling dome. In every classroom I was greeted with a handshake, smile and ‘Welcome to John Stainer School!’.
Thank you to the headteacher, Sue, for showing me around and to everyone at John Stainer for being so welcoming.
I will be doing lots more school visits over the next few weeks. They really are the highlight of my week and definitely make a welcome change from Brexit!
