Plans to close and franchise 37 Crown Post Offices across the country have been announced by the Post Office LTD. One of the Post Offices listed for closure is New Cross Gate. 

I’ve met with local union representatives and also with local councillors about the closure, offering support to the campaign to keep the Post Office open. 

I’ve also attended the protest outside the Post Office 28th January, where local residents gathered to voice their concerns. New Cross Gate Post Office provides a much needed service to our community and the closure of the Post Office in will mean worse services for customers and the loss of secure, well paid, jobs.

I will continue to liaise with local Councillors and Post Office workers about this issue and fight for our local services.
