Recent changes to traffic signalling at the Deptford Bridge junction have led to a noticeable build up of gridlocked traffic from around 3pm in the afternoon.

Surrounding areas, including Tanners Hill, Florence Road and surrounding feeder roads have all experienced extreme gridlock every weekday.

Vicky has called on TFL to ensure that the new traffic signalling at the bottom of Tanners Hill is investigated to ensure that traffic is eased in residential areas around the junction.

Vicky said “The build up of traffic in residential areas from the early afternoon is completely unacceptable and must be looked in to”

“In an area where so many people live and work, constant gridlocked traffic is not good for the local environment or our local community.”

The above letter has been sent to the TFL Commissioner Mike Brown and this article will be updated with any response that is received.
