A small business owner from Lewisham Deptford contacted me before Christmas. His business had won its first EU contract, requiring him to hire four extra people over two years to deliver the contract.

However, he has just been told by the EU that the business will lose the contract in the event of a no deal Brexit.

A No Deal Brexit will increase job insecurity and put small businesses like his in jeopardy – not to mention the countless other ways crashing out the EU without a deal will be disastrous. So why has the Government not taken this option off the table? Completely irresponsible.
